MY PORTFOLIO
This website is designed to display some work that I have done, what my skills are, my interests, and my qualifications! This portfolio is a window into my professional world, a place where I showcase the diverse range of work, I’ve had the pleasure to create.
I have worked on a project with my classmates for Barclays, we made a commission calculator. This was done so that we could demonstrate our skills in programming and how we can operate in a team. We learned a lot during this project and got the chance to present in front of Barclays too.
We have also got the chance to work with airtime rewards, we had to work in groups with people from different courses, this meant that I saw people use different skills and got to understand how it all worked.
I worked on a project by myself called A* Uniforms this was a website that was used for customers to purchase school uniforms, I designed the website using Figma, this is the home page and I also made the logo on Canva. Users are supposed to click on each block of text and have it take them to another page of the website.
This is the Log in page where users could log into their accounts for A* Uniforms, there is also buttons that allow the user to sign up, reset their password and go back to the home page. There is also a way for staff to log in too.
This is the appointment system for A* Uniforms, this would let the user choose an appropriate time, date and after being booked would send a confirmation to them using their email or phone number.
I designed a mock website for a fictional zoo named Riget Zoo. The homepage is carefully structured to be both visually appealing and highly functional, aimed at engaging visitors from the moment they land on the site. At the top-left corner, the zoo’s logo and name are prominently displayed, establishing a strong brand identity. Adjacent to the logo is a navigation menu with links to key sections of the site: Home, About, Services, Animals, Education, and Booking. This menu ensures that visitors can easily find the information they need. Each button redirects the user to a different page on the website, for example, clicking on view our animals would take the user to a page on the website that showcases the animals that Riget Zoo have.
I designed an “About Us” page for the “Riget Zoo” mock website, maintaining the theme of vibrant visuals and clear messaging. The top of the page features the zoo’s logo and navigation menu, allowing visitors to easily access other sections like Home, Services, Animals, Education, and Booking.
The main image on this page showcases a vibrant parrot, capturing attention with its colorful plumage and adding a dynamic visual element that highlights the zoo’s diverse wildlife. Overlaid on this image is a green banner labeled “About Us,” clearly indicating the section. Below this, a brief description reads, “We are Riget Zoo Adventures! We take care of these animals and allow people to visit, stay at the hotel, and allow educational trips here.”
This concise text informs visitors about the zoo’s mission and activities, emphasizing its dedication to animal care, visitor experiences, and educational opportunities. The overall design aims to quickly engage visitors and provide a snapshot of what Riget Zoo stands for and offers.
I designed a “Services” page for the “Riget Zoo” mock website, focusing on key offerings and making it easy for visitors to take action. The top section includes the zoo’s logo and a navigation menu, allowing users to access other parts of the site such as Home, About, Animals, Education, and Booking.
The main background image features a sea turtle swimming in clear blue water, providing an engaging and tranquil visual element. Overlaid on this image are several green boxes with text and icons, each representing a different service offered by the zoo.
The first box, titled “Book a ticket,” invites visitors to click and book a day ticket for £20, emphasizing convenience and choice of date. The second box, “Book a hotel,” directs users to make a reservation at the zoo’s on-site hotel, encouraging extended stays. The third box, “Book a membership,” promotes purchasing a membership, likely offering benefits and discounts. The final box, “Educational Visits,” provides information on arranging educational trips, highlighting the zoo’s commitment to learning and community engagement.
These clear and visually distinct sections ensure that visitors can easily find and utilize the services they are interested in, enhancing their overall experience at Riget Zoo.
The “Animals” page of the Riget Zoo website is designed to be both engaging and informative, offering visitors a visual and textual tour of the zoo’s diverse wildlife. The top of the page features the zoo’s logo and a navigation menu for easy access to other sections like Home, About, Services, Education, and Booking. Each page also has a bold name of the page that you are on in the nav bar, this is done to showcase which page the user is on.
This is the booking system, this is where the user would book tickets to attend the zoo, they would choose the date, number of tickets and then enter their payment information. Once the transaction has been made, the user would get a confirmation message and they would be messaged or emailed which gave them their tickets. The background is consistent with the theme and is green as the theme is nature based incorporating a lot of green, white and black.
This is the log in system, the user would be able to log in to the website or even make an account by clicking on the bottom button stating sign up. The user can easily sign in using Google or Facebook there would also be new ways in the future. There is a remember me feature meaning that the users information would be saved onto the system and they can log in easily in the future. There is also a forgot password button that when clicked will reset the users password as it will send them an email allowing them to reset their password securely.
This is the page the user is greeted with when they click on sign up, they are supposed to enter their personal information in order to create the account and once created it will send a confirmation message and a confirmation email too. Their email will consistently be used to authenticate that the user is the same person, different ways to authenticate will be implemented in the future. Once the user makes an account it would be saved onto a database and that database would store all the users information and all the information would be heavily encrypted and secure.
